Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a complete and holistic system of medicine based on ancient Chinese theories of the flow of Qi, which can loosely be translated as energy within the body. When the body is in balance, Qi flows harmoniously within the channels and nourishes the organs and tissues. Pain and illness arise when the channels becomes blocked and Qi is not able to move freely.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of tiny, sterile, single-use needles into specific acupuncture points on the body. These points are located along meridians where Qi is concentrated and accessible. Each acupuncture point has specific abilities to be able to adjust the flow of Qi to areas in the body where it is needed, to move blocked or excess Qi, or to nourish Qi that has been depleted.
Acupuncture can help to promote natural healing, enhancing the recuperative power and immunity of physical and emotional health. Acupuncture is a safe, painless, and effective way to treat a wide variety of medical concerns. Preventative care can help avoid further injury or illness and is a great compliment to other alternative health care models.
